1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using RoomDate, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Facial Verification Requirement

To ensure the safety and authenticity of our community, RoomDate requires facial verification before accessing messaging features.

How It Works

• You will be asked to take a live photo using your device camera
• Our system compares this photo to your profile picture
• If the photos match, your account will be marked as verified

Your Consent

By using the facial verification feature, you:

• Consent to the collection and processing of your facial biometric data
• Confirm that you are the person in your profile photo
• Understand that verification is required to access messaging
• Acknowledge that facial scan images are used solely for verification purposes and are deleted within 24 hours, subject to system logs required for security and abuse prevention.

If You Do Not Verify

• You may still browse profiles
• You will not be able to send or receive messages
• You will not be able to book virtual rooms

5. Location-Based Features

RoomDate offers optional location-based features to help you connect with people nearby.

How It Works

• You may choose to enable location services when prompted
• If enabled, we collect your GPS coordinates to calculate distance to other users
• Other users will only see approximate distance (e.g., "~12 mi away"), never your exact location

Your Consent

By enabling location services, you:

• Consent to the collection and storage of your GPS coordinates
• Understand that approximate distance may be displayed to other users
• Acknowledge that your exact location is never shared with other users

If You Do Not Enable Location

• You may still use all other features of RoomDate
• You will not appear in distance-filtered searches
• You will not see distance information for other users
• Your profile will show "Distance unknown" to others

Disabling Location

You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. Your most recent location data is stored only as needed to provide distance-based features and may be refreshed or removed automatically.

6. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users
• Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
• Use photos of someone else or fake photos
• Share explicit, offensive, or illegal content
• Solicit money or promote commercial activities
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Attempt to bypass the facial verification system
• Spoof or falsify your location
• Use automated systems or bots to access the service

7. Virtual Rooms and Credits

• Credits are used to book virtual rooms for dates
• Credits are non-refundable once purchased
• Virtual room access expires after 24 hours from booking
• We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time

8. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you post. However, by posting content on RoomDate, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with our service.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information, including biometric and location data.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violations of these terms
• Failing facial verification multiple times
• Using fake or misleading photos
• Spoofing or falsifying your location
• Any reason consistent with these Terms and applicable law.

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

• RoomDate is provided as is without warranties of any kind
• We do not guarantee matches or relationship outcomes
• We are not responsible for user conduct or content
• We do not conduct background checks on users
• Facial verification confirms photo match only, not identity documents
• Distance calculations are approximate and may vary based on GPS accuracy

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoomDate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Florida.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
